This play is about the inner world of the narrator, and how she views her own struggles with mental and physical health. She uses the yellow paper as something to latch on to, as she processes her condition. I think that the narrator uses the yellow wallpaper as a projection, reflection and a sort of extension of her inner world. In the beginning of the story, she's in a bad condition, mentally and allegedly physically too, therefor, the way she describes the yellow wallpaper is in a bad manner and only talks about how its ruining her and disturbing her from getting better, when in reality she's only talking about herself. And at the end of the story, as she talks about how she think she's getting better, she starts to describe the wallpaper, as something beautiful, her views on it changed as her condition did too, and in reality she's talking about coming to terms with herself, her life, and her condition. I would like to focus on the reflection and projection the narrator makes with the yellow wallpaper, using it as a mirror to her inner world.
